My weekend

Well...... I had a great weekend at aunt Rachels. It was so much fun playing with Jalen, Tatum and Quentin, and OF COURSE Aunt Rachel!!!

On Saturday I got to go to Tatum’s soccer game, she is really good for a 4 year old. And daddy went to Jalens football game; he said Jalen is really good too...
After a fun day playing and getting all kinds of attention from everyone I got a little tired and started not feeling so well, and the rest of the night was a pretty long one......
Mom was changing my diaper and noticed some blood in my poopy so she called the dr. We ended up leaving Aunt Rachel’s and going to Riley Hospital at 10pm at night. They checked the blood out and said everything was ok. They said I had a little 'ouchie' on my butt and that that could be where the blood was from. Another thought is that it could be caused from my esophagus being irritated. We found out while we were at Riley that I have acid reflux REALLY bad and that that could have irritated my esophagus and made me bleed.

On the bright side I am feeling a little better tonight. I have to take Zantec twice a day to help with the reflux, I have only taken it 3 times so i'm not sure if it is helping or not yet, but I am happier tonight. I also am starting a different thrush medication tomorrow, so I hope that that will help and make me all better. Mommy also found out that I have colic really bad, so it has been kind of stressful lately...but if the acid reflux gets better then that will probably help make me feel a lot better and maybe we will find out the colic isn’t so bad.....

I will keep you all updated on how I am feeling, if I still have thrush and/or the bleeding on wed mommy has to call the dr and I have to be seen by the end of this week.

love you all

I am getting bigger :)

Well, as a last effort to get this dang thrush under control mommy and I went to the Dr. yesterday. They weighed me and measured how long i was and then made me look like i had been eating blueberries all day. They took this deep violet stuff and painted my mouth with it. My lips, my tongue, and my entire inside of my mouth was a dark violet purple. Mommy laughed at me quite a bit, and i would have to admit i looked kind of funny.....i sure hope it works, especially for making me look like this while i'm out in public.

On the bright side, I now weigh 10.5 lbs. and am 22.5 inches long. The Dr. said i am still a little on the small side, but ill catch up eventually.

I have a really exciting weekend planned. I am going to visit aunt Rachel and all my cousins friday, and then on saturday i get to see them play at their games. I am so excited to see everyone. I will tell you all about it when i get back.

I slept through the night!!!

Friday night miss Alivia slept through the night. It is not uncommen for her to sleep till 3:30-4am but this time she slept from 10:30 pm till 6:15am. and then went back to sleep from 7:30am - 11am, and mommy got lots of sleep too :) For the past few nights she hasn't been getting up for a feeding untill after 6am. I hope this is a new thing and that she isn't just teasing me with it.

She has been doing pretty good lately. We are still battling the thrush, third time is a charm- I HOPE!! and I am sure she does too!!!

She had some special visitors on Saturday. Great great uncle Larry and aunt Phyl came to visit. She really likes having visitors, right away she was smiling and making faces at aunt Phyl, and she managed to spit up all down her shirt too. That is something we have taught her, always to make a lasting impression and what better way to do it then spit up all over them :)

well i think that is about all in Alivia world. I will write more later.

11 weeks old

Alivia was 11 weeks old yesterday. WOW! the time has flown by. It seems like just yesterday Cameron and i were anxiously awating her arrival, but nothing beats having her here. I am having such a fun time being a mom, it is the best gift anyone has ever given me... and God sure did know what he was doing when he created her, she is just perfect.

She is starting to giggle a little bit, it is more of a squeek, but it is sooo cute. She smiles all the time and loves to be played with. Alivia especially loves her daddy to play with her, she spends all day with mommy and its like a special treat when dad comes home- a new face to look at and different voices to listen to....she just loves her dad! And of course both her mom and her dad love her very much.

This is the beginning of her own blog so come back and visit often. We will keep everyone updated with pictures and whats going on with baby Alivia on her new blog page.
